Aapse pyaar huaa jaataa hai

I was under the impression that Suraiyya’s singing-acting career was over in 1950s, but she also had a few movies released in 1960s. It is another matter that her best days were behind her by that time.
“Shama” (1961) is a movie of 1960s where Suraiyya was seen as an actor-singer. This movie had some very nice songs sung by her.I have posted two songs from this movie so far, viz. Dhadakte dil ki tamanna ho mera pyaar ho tum (Shama) and Dil gham se jal raha hai(Shama)(1961).
Here is another lovely song from this movie. This song “aapse pyaar huaa jaataa hai” is sung by Suraiyya and picturised on her. Kaifi Azmi is the lyricist and Ghulam Mohammad composed the music. It is a lovely song, and the picturisation is equally nice.

one of the best of my choices.
after this movie suraiya acted in one more film (last of her career) -rostam sohrab-in 1963.she sang her last song “ye kaisi ajab dastan ho gayi hai”in this film under composer sajjad hussain.
this song became very popular.
