“Daal Mein Kaala” (1964) is a movie that had Kishore Kumar and Nimmi in lead roles. This movie as well as its songs are by now obscure.
A few hours ago, I stumbled upon this song from “Daal Mein Kaala”. What a delightful and heart warming song it is !
Here is this lovely song , which is sung by Kishore Kumar. It is picturised on Kishore Kumar and Nimmi. Bharat Vyas is the lyricist and C Ramchandra composed the music.
This song is a gem, that needs to be known better among music lovers.

Lyrics
hmm hmm hmm hmm
hmm hmm hmm hmm
chaand chupchaap hai
sitaare gumsum
chaand chupchaap hai
sitaare gumsum
mere pyaar ko jagaake
so gaye ho tum
kahaan kho gaye ho tum
chaand chupchaap hai
sitaare gumsum
mere pyaar ko jagaake
so gaye ho tum
kahaan kho gaye ho tum
ye samaa ye aasmaan
ye hawaa ye rut jawaan
teri aankhon ki kasam
ham to kho gaye yahaan
kar gayi gumraah teri pehli rum jhum
kar gayi gumraah teri pehli rum jhum
mere pyaar ko jagaake
so gaye ho tum
kahaan kho gaye ho tum
chaand chupchaap hai
sitaare gumsum
mere pyaar ko jagaake
so gaye ho tum
kahaan kho gaye ho tum
kisko dhondhte nayan
raat bhar jage jage
kisko dhondhte nayan
raat bhar jage jage
tere dar pe aake ham
rah gaye thage thage
dil ki dhadkan pe kaisi baj rahi sargam
dil ki dhadkan pe kaisi baj rahi sargam
mere pyaar ko jagaake
so gaye ho tum
kahaan kho gaye ho tum
chaand chupchaap hai
sitaare gumsum
mere pyaar ko jagaake
so gaye ho tum
kahaan kho gaye ho tum
jhoomta jahaan hai
mast aasman hai
zindagi se mil ke huyi
zindagi jawaan hai
aaj ki ye raat
ho raha badaa zulum
aaj ki ye raat
ho raha badaa zulum
mere pyaar ko jagaake
so gaye ho tum
kahaan kho gaye ho tum
chaand chupchaap hai
sitaare gumsum
mere pyaar ko jagaake
so gaye ho tum
kahaan kho gaye ho tum

hi atulites
just saw this movie on ‘Zee classic’
was a fairly enjoyable one with one song following the other. it has lovely starcast with Bipin Gupta, Mumtaz Shanti, Shammi, Agha, Tun Tun Abhi Bhattacharya, and Kesto Mukherjee and Sunder and Om Prakash
it begins as a story of people being mistaken for other people etc and has a madcap ending.
it has good songs and fun songs which shd come here.
