Kyaa mil gayaa Bhagwaan tumhe dil ko dukhaa ke

In Hindi movies, actors do not remember God when the going is good. At that time they are busy running around the trees singing romantic songs, but as soon as the good times end, the characters (especially female characters) would suddenly remember God and she will start singing a Bhajan. In some cases, when the lady feels especially short changed, she will not even bother to sing a Bhajan, rather she would accuse God of being harsh on her.
Here is a song of the “remonstrating with the Almighty” category from “Anmol Ghadi” (1946). Here Noorjahaan looks particularly angry with the Almighty. 😀
The song is sung by Noorjahaan and for a change, the lyricist of this song from “Anmol Ghadi” (1946) is Anjum Pilibhiti , and not Tanveer Naqvi (who had written the other 10 songs posted so far from this movie). Naushad is the music director.
So, here is this song, 11th from this movie for the listening and viewing pleasures of the readers.
Song-Kyaa mil gayaa Bhagwaan tumhe dil ko dukhaake (Anmol Ghadi) (1946) Singer-Noorjahaan, Lyrics-Anjum Pilibhiti, MD-Naushad
Lyrics
kyaa mil gayaa Bhagwaan
kyaa mil gayaa Bhagwaan
tumhen dil ko dukhaake
armaaon ki nagri mein meri aag lagaake
kyaa mil gayaa Bhagwaan
kyaa mil gayaa Bhagwaan
tumhen dil ko dukhaake
armaaon ki nagri mein meri aag lagaake
ham soch rahe the kabhi dil dil se milenge
jeewan mein mohabbat ke kabhi phool khilenge
ye kyaa thi khabar tum ko naa aayegi dayaa bhi
rakh doge kisi din meri duniyaa ko mitaake
armaaon ki nagri mein meri aag lagaake
kyaa mil gayaa Bhagwaan
aakaash hi dushman nahin,
dushman hai zameen bhi
dukh dard ke maare ko nahin,
chain kahin bhi
chain kahin bhi
is jeene se ab maut hi aajaaye to achchhaa
jab chhoot gayaa haath unkaa mere haathon mein aake
armaanon ki nagri mein meri aag lagaake
kyaa mil gayaa Bhagwaan
maaloom na thaa
khaaq mein mil jaayenge ek dil
khud apni hi ham aag mein
jal jaayenge ek dil
tumse to ye ummeed na thi jal ke khewaiyyaa
naiyyaa ko dubo doge kinaare pe hi laake
armaanon ki nagri mein meri aag lagaake
kyaa mil gayaa Bhagwaan
kyaa mil gayaa Bhagwaan
tumhen dil ko dukhaake
armaanon ki nagri mein meri aag lagaake

The tune of this song sounds very familiar, does it sound like another song?
