Aa gaya mazaa pyaar ka nashaa
Posted on: September 15, 2010
I was not aware of this movie called “Sarhad” (1960). This movie had Dev Anand, Suchitra Sen,Raagini, Laita Pawar etc. in lead roles.
Here is a romantic duet from this movie.
This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle and C Ramchandra and it is picturised on Raagini and Dev Anand. Majrooh Sultanpuri is the lyricist. C Ramchandra composed the music.
This song is a lovely “Chhaayaageet” song by my definition.
PS-According to HFGK, this song has a female solo version too sung by Asha Bhonsle, but the record number of that version is not mentioned, This version does not seem to be available online.
Song-Aa gayaa mazaa pyaar ka nashaa (Sarhad) (1960) Singers-Asha Bhonsle, C Ramchandra, Lyrics-Majrooh Sultanpuri, MD-C Ramchandra
Lyrics
aa gayaa mazaa
pyaar ka nashaa
toone to daal di teekhi teekhi nazar
par mujhe bhaa gayaa meetha meetaa zehar
toone to daal di teekhi teekhi nazar
par mujhe bhaa gayaa meethhaa meethha zehar
kaisa jaadoo kiyaa toone o jaadoogar
dekhte dekhte nainon mein tu bas gayaa
aa gayaa mazaa
pyaar ka nashaa
man mein bas gayaa jaan teri piyaa
pyaar mohe dans gayaa
aaa gayaa mazaa
aaa aaa aaa aaa
jab se main ban gayi hoon teri saajan
chutkiyaan leti hain paanv ki painjani
chhedtin hain mohe dekho phir chaandni
chhedtin hain mohe dekho phir chaandni
phir nadi paar se chaand mohe hans gayaa
aa gayaa mazaa pyaar ka nashaa
man mein bas gayaa jaan teri piyaa
pyaar mohe dans gayaa
aa gayaa mazaa
kho gayaa re mohe pyaar ka ye samaan
main chaloongi wahin
tu kahegaa jahaan
kho gayaa re mohe pyaar ka ye samaan
main chaloongi wahin
tu kahegaa jahaan
jaayega ye man ka panchhi kahaan
ab tere jaal mein
man to meraa phans gayaa
aa gayaa mazaa
pyaar ka nashaa
man mein bas gayaa jaan teri piyaa
pyaar mohe dans gayaa
aa gayaa mazaa

Atulji,
This one song (“aaja re lage na mora jiya” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJmCmHWYqRg) has been acknowledged, in an interview given by Annasaheb (CR), to be a song that has been “lifted” completely and without any alterations from a western song. The interview was on youtube. Perhaps you, and the rest of the Song-A-Day stalwarts could throw some light, both on the movie as well as on the *western* song from which CR took the tune ?

Yes, this movie is quite an obscure one.
