“Nau Do Gyaarah” (1957) is a suspense movie starring Dev Anand, Kalpana Kartik etc and the movie is directed by Vijay Anand.
This movie has some lovely songs in it.
Here is a party/club song from this movie. It is sung by Geeta Dutt and Asha Bhonsle. The song is picturised on Shashikala, Helen and others.
Majrooh Sultanpuri is the lyricist and S D Burman composed the music.
This is a different kind of song in the sense that the entire song consists of just a single stanza with no pause in between.

Song-Kyaa ho phir jo din rangeela ho (Nau Do Gyaarah) (1957) Singers-Geeta Dutt, Asha Bhonsle, Lyrics-Majrooh Sultanpuri, MD-S D Burman
Lyrics
kyaa ho phir jo din rangeelaa ho
ret chamke samundar neelaa ho
aur aakaash geelaa geelaa ho
kyaa ho phir jo din rangeelaa ho
ret chamke samundar neelaa ho
aur aakaash geelaa geelaa ho
aahaa phir to badaa mazaa hogaa
ambar jhukaa jhukaa hogaa
saagar rukaa rukaa hogaa
toofaan chhupaa chhupaa hogaa
haan phir to badaa mazaa hogaa
ambar jhukaa jhukaa hogaa
saagar rukaa rukaa hogaa
toofaan chhupaa chhupaa hogaa
kyaa ho phir jo chanchal ghaaten ho
honthon pe machalti baaten ho
saawan ho bhari barsaatein hon
kyaa ho phir jo chanchal ghaaten ho
honthon pe machalti baaten ho
saawan ho bhari barsaatein hon
aahaa phir to badaa mazaa hogaa
koi koi phisal rahaa hogaa
koi koi sambhal rahaa hogaa
koi koi machal rahaa hogaa
aahaa phir to badaa mazaa hogaa
koi koi phisal rahaa hogaa
koi koi sambhal rahaa hogaa
koi koi machal rahaa hogaa
kyaa ho phir jo duniyaa soti ho
aur taaron bhari khaamoshi ho
har aahat pe dhadkan hoti ho
kyaa ho phir jo duniyaa soti ho
aur taaron bhari khaamoshi ho
har aahat pe dhadkan hoti ho
aahaa phir to badaa mazaa hogaa
dil dil milaa milaa hogaa
tan man khilaa khilaa hogaa
dushman jalaa jalaa hogaa
haan phir to badaa mazaa hogaa
dil dil milaa milaa hogaa
tan man khilaa khilaa hogaa
dushman jalaa jalaa hogaa

and i ve always loved the way the song starts. the various extras handling the musical instruments by turns and the camera moving from one to the other and back and forth to Shashikala and helen. wow!!!

Vijay Anand had special knack of picturising songs superbly.
Pick any song of any movie directed by him , you will always find something new in its picturisation.

Love this song. Love the movie.
Vijay Anand’s directorial debut, if I am not mistaken.
The climax scene will remain in my mind for a long time.
