“Nazraanaa” (1961) is a movie which saw a rare combination of Rafi singing for Raj Kapoor, with Ravi composing the music. And what superb songs this movie had !
I have so far posted three songs from this movie and I need to post many more songs from this movie.
Here is a sentimental song par excellence from ‘Nazraanaa” (1961). Words of the song are written by Rajinder Krishan, and what a superb song he has come up with ! To my mind Rajinder Krishan was a writer of iconic songs just like Ravi was a composer of iconic songs. Here, both of them have combined to create a song that has been rendered so fantastically by Rafi.
It is truly an iconic song that people remeber even today, even though they may not be aware of details like the movie, lyricist, music ditrector etc.
I have not been able to locate the video of this song, but I can guess that this song was picturised on Raj Kapoor.

Recently, I have come across a poster of Nazarana with Raj Kapoor and Vyjayanthimala . The poster indicated that music of the film is given by Shankar Jaikishan. whereas we all know Ravi scored music for movie. How and when this change occurred?
