“Shaahi Baazaar”(1957) was produced by G.A. Thakur and Lim Bilimoria and directed by Balwant Dave and Padmakant Pathak for Chandni Chitra Productions, Bombay. This costume drama movie had Chitra, Mahipal, Rajkumar, Sapru, Maruti, Ramesh Thakur, Chaman Puri, Naazi, Helen, Sheila Vaz, Tuntun, Bhalerao etc in it. Mirza Musharraf and Sheikh had made guest appearances in the movie.
“Shaahi Baazaar”(1957) had eight songs in it, that were sung by six singers (Geeta Dutt, Hemant Kumar, Asha Bhonsle, Shamshad Begam, Mohd Rafi and Balbir), penned by four lyricists (Raja Mehdi Ali Khan-2 songs, Aziz Kashmiri-4 songs, Pandit Shivraj-1 song, Madan Parihar-1 song) and two music directors (Dhaniram and S Haridarshan).
Two songs have been covered so far.
Here is the third song from “Shaahi Baazaar”(1957) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Shamshad Begam. Raja Mehdi Ali Khan is the lyricist. Music is composed by Dhaniram.
