Sajjad Hussain made his debut an an independent music director with “Dost”(1944). With the passage of so much time, very little is known about this movie today. What is known is that this movie had actors like Noorjahan, Vatsala Kumthekar, Motilal, Husnbano, Maya Banerjee, Kanhaiyalal etc in it.
I have discussed two songs from this movie already. Here is the third song from this movie. Like other songs, only the audio is available and in this case the audio quality is not very good. Still, something is better than nothing.
This song is sung by Noorjahaan and so it is clear that the song was picturised on her as well. Shams Lucknowi is the lyricist of this melancholic song.
