Listening to Pradeep’s songs is always a divine experience. Pradeep wrote with his heart and sang with his heart too, and the message contained in the song went straight to the listeners’s hearts.
I have posted several songs sung by Pradeep in this blog. In addition, I have posted many songs written by Pradeep. He was active in Hindi movies from 1930s to 1960s and he has given us several timeless classics. He worked with two or maybe three generations of music directors.
Here is a Pradeep song from “Harishchandra Taramati” (1963), which was a B grade mythological movie. Most people may not be aware about the details of this song, but they all must surely be aware of this song, which is an A grade immortal song, of course .
Here is this song, which is written by Pradeep and sung by him. Music is composed by the the then up and coming hugely talented music director duo of Laxmikant Pyarelal.
I am not aware about the actor on whom this song is picturised though I vaguely recall having seen him in some movies. I request my knowledgeable readers to help identify him for us less knowledgeables.
PS- On second thoughts, he looks unmistakably like Prithviraj Kapoor. And that is who it is, I am sure. I hope my knowledgeable readers will help confirm/ refute my identification of the actor.
