It is unbelievable how songs composed three/four generations ago could sound so fresh even today, sixty years later, long after most people involved in creating them may have left the scene.

Here is one such delightful song. It is from “Pardes” (1950). The song is sung by Rafi and Lata. The song is picturised on Rehman and Madhubala. Shakeel Badayuni is the lyricist and music is composed by Ghulam Mohammad.
