O jaane waale tujhko ham yaad kyun na aaye

I receive hundreds of farmaishes for songs that are not yet posted in this blog. Many of these farmaishes are for songs that are well known and/or relatively easily avaiable. Sometimes though, there are farmaishes for songs that are very difficult to find. There are cases where the farmaish giver was desperately seeking the song for years and even decades without success. It is highly satisfying for me when sometimes I am actually able to locate these elusive songs after some nice detective work.
Here is another song rare song. The farmaish sender Suresh Maloo had mentioned that he was desperately searching for this song from “Banu” (1955) which went “O jaane waale tujhko ham yaad kyun na aaye” and he thought that I was resurceful enough to be able to help.
This naturally aroused my curiosity. I began by doing the obvious thing viz searching in google, youtube etc, but ther you only get the song “o jaane waale ho sake to laut ke aana”. Most search engines cannot help you if you are seeking a rare song. This song was clearly not available in any sites. If songs are not available, then one needs to upload it. I tend to stumble upon songs during my searches for them, and I accidentally stumbled upon this rare song too.
This song is from “Bahu” (1955) and not from “Banu” (1955) as the reader had mentioned. There has not been any movie called “Banu”.
I listened to this song and I found that the song is a nice one. It is sung by Lata. S H Bihari is the lyricist and Hemant Kumar is the music director.
This is a nice song to listen to.

ye geet kahan suna hai aisa lagata hai kyonki dimag ke ek konemen ‘tube light ho rahi hai’ aur shayad aisa gana or tarj or sangeet suni hai. shayad yaad aaneke baad koshish karunga ki kya hai. lekin geet bahot achha hai.

lovely song-never heard it before.
Please note that it gets cut-off abruptly at the end and spoils the beauty of the song. If possible, please fix it.
