“Bahu” (1953) is an obscure movie by now. Like many obscure movies of those days, even this movie has some nice and wonderful songs in it that not too many people know about. Stumbling upon such songs is always a rewarding experience.
Here is a duet from this movie. It is sung by Geeta Dutt and Talat Mehmood. S H Bihari is the lyricist. Hemant Kumar is the music director. It must be one of the rare Talat Mehmood songs where music was composed by Hemant Kumar.

What a beautiful song in such soft notes by the singers. Also an amazing use of the flute,( I suppose) by the MD Hemant Kumar. A typical ‘chhayageet’ song.
