“Ek Jhalak” (1957) is a movie that starred Pradeep Kumar,Vyjyanti Mala, Rajendra Kumar, Anita Guha,Pran, Om Prakash,Mubarak etc. This movie had some nice songs in it. I have so far discussed two songs from this movie.
Here is another song from this movie. It is sung by Hemant Kumar. Though only the audio is available but it is easy to guess that the song was picturised on Pradeep Kumar. S H Bihari is the lyricist. Hemant Kumar himself is the music director as well.

I just saw information posted here in 2011. I generally like Mr. Arunkumar Deshmukh’s blogs (posted with many other songs) – very informative. However, what he is saying about Dara singh-Omprakash is from Paheli Jhalak (1954, C. Ramachandra) and not from Ek Jhalak (1974, Hemant Kumar).
Perhaps you could forward this to Mr. Deshmukh as he may not see my comments here. Thank you.

The film indeed was Pehli Jhalak and NOT Ek Jhalak.

Very few people know that Dara Singh had also featured in this movie.It was the time when Dara singh had become famous and popular after he became RUSTOM-E HIND and probably the producers wanted to use this to their advantage.
A wrestling match between Dara singh and Omprakash is shown in this picture as a dream sequence of Omprakash.
Many fans of Dara Singh saw the movie for only this scene.
