“Nayaa Kaanoon” (1965) is a movie that had Ashok Kumar, Vyjyanti Mala, Bharat Bhushan, Om Prakash etc. This movie was a miserable failure at the box office as far as I can tell.
The music of this movie suffered as a result,and Madan Mohan, the music director of this movie was no stranger to seeing his movies fail at the box office, even though he always came up with great music in all these movies.
Here is a song from this movie. This song is sung by Rafi and it is picturised on Bharat Bhushan. Hasrat Jaipuri is the lyricist. It must be one of the very few movies where Madan Mohan emplyed Hasrat Jaipuri as a lyricist.
The song is nice to listen to, but the song did not become all that popular during its time. Even today, this song is not only among the lovers of old songs. It is a song that deserves to be better known among music lovers.
