Jab yaad kisi ki aati hai

When I looked at the lyrics of the song, I thought that it was the song sung by Rafi that begins with the words- “Jiyaa ho jiyaa ho jiyaa kuchh bol to”, but I was wrong, I was confusing the title song of “Jab Pyaar Kisi Se Hota Hai” (1961) with the title song of “Jab Yaad Kisi Ki Aati Hai”(1967). But then the two titles are so similar, and it is only now that I have been able to distinguish between the two titles.
When I checked up, I realised that I have not discussed either of these two title songs in this blog. So here is the title song of “Jab Yaad Kisi Ki Aati Hai” (1967). This song is sung by Lata. It is picturised on Mala Sinha and Dharmendra. Raja Mehdi Ali Khan is the lyricist and Madan Mohan composed the music.
It is a wonderful song to listen to, and believe me, all these days I was confusing this song with the Rafi song from the movie “Jab Pyaar Kisi Se Hotaa Hai” (1961). 🙂 Yes, I had not heard this Lata song before. But then, that is how it is with me. 🙂
