on:How do I decide upon the songs to be discussed on a particular day ? It depends on several factors. On special days, I may decide to discuss special songs. Those special days are festivals, birth/death anniversaries etc. On those days, I discuss songs on a particular theme, or songs on a particular artist.
On normal days, I tend to discuss songs chronologically, viz older songs first and newer songs later. My oldest song could be from early 1950s and my latest song for a day could be from late 1960s or early 1970s. In many cases I discuss songs that I stumble upon accidently in youtube etc. Of late, I have tended to discuss songs of those artists who have less than 100 songs in the blog. In many cases, I discuss several songs of artists who are close to 100. This is my conscious decision to see that they reach their century of songs as early as possible.
One important source of songs is farmaishes (requests) from my readers. If I need to find out what songs are missing from the blog and are needed to be discussed, I need not look any further than the request page of the blog. In many cases, the requests are for well known songs. But there are occasions when requests are for songs that are not all that well known.
On some cases, requests are for songs that are rare. Another variation on it is when the farmaish giver is not sure about the details of the song and wants me to identify the song based on his/her sketchy information. Such farmaishes often make me curious and I feel challenged. when I finally identify/get hold of the songs requested, it gives me a sense of satisfaction and achievement.
There are certain rare songs that were given to me by my readers. It gave me immense satisfaction when I was finally able to locate these elusive songs. Some such rare songs, that I managed to locate on the request of my readers are :
Dil ki lagi aisi re aahen bharoon tere pyaar mein (Sharaarat) ,
O jaane waale tujhko ham yaad kyun na aaye (Bahu) ,
Ambar ki ek paak suraahi (Kaadambari) ,
Jaa ri pawaniyaa piyaa ke des jaa (Do Boond Paani) ,
Peetal ki meri gaagri (Do Boond Paani) ,
Ye haseen raat ye bahaar ye samaan (Girls’ Hostel) etc.
In case of the first two songs, viz the songs of “Sharaarat” and “Bahu”, I am not sure if the request senders checked up on these songs, but in case of the remaining songs, the readers were extemely pleased to be able to get re acquainted with these songs after several decades. For instance, the song of “Girl’s Hostel” was a highly elusive song that Mr Prakash Chandra was only able to see once in six months on radio. Now, we are in a position to listen to that song anytime we feel like.
Now, Mr Prakash Chandra is looking for another song that he has not been able to hear for the last six years. Your wait is over. Now you, as well as others will be able to listen to this song any time we feel like it. Yesterday, I searched for this song and I was able to locate it.
Here is this song from “Mere Sajna” (1975). This song is sung by Lata. Though only the audio is available, it is clear that this song is picturised on Rakhi, who was the leading lady of this movie opposite Navin Nischol.
Majrooh Sultanpuri is the lyricist and Laxmikant Pyarelal composed the music of this song.
PS-I notice that this song is the 300th song of Laxmikant Pyarelal as music directors in this blog. That is quite a sizeable number of Laxmikant Pyarelal songs in this song. and it is a nice song to bring up this figure.

Lyrics
mere sajna
aa aaa aaa
mere sajnaa teri khair maange
deewaani tere naam ki
deewaani tere naam ki
tere mukh ke ujaale mein chamke
ye laali meri maang ki
ye laali meri maang ki
mere sajnaa teri khair maange
deewaani tere naam ki
sadaa tere swapan se hi saje meri rainaa
sadaa tere swapan se hi saje meri rainaa
teri jhalak dekhoon jab khulen mere nainaa
piyaa tere pujaaran ki poojaa
yahi hai subah shaam ki
yahi hai subah shaam ki
mere sajna teri khair maange
deewaani tere naam ki
leke balam teri hansi
hanse mera kajraa
leke balam teri hansi
hanse mera kajraa
tere pyaar hi se bhara
ho mera anchra
yoon hi jeewan ke madhuban mein doloon
main Radha bani Shyaam ki
main Radha bani Shyaam ki
tere mukh ke ujaale mein chamke
ye laali meri maang ki
ye laali meri maang ki
mere sajnaa

Angrezi shabdon mein main apnapan kam mehsoos karta hoon, isi liye hindi mein likh raha hoon.
Ab se main aapko “thanks”, “Dhanyawad” nahin kahoonga, ye saare lafz to bahut chote ho jaayenge, aapke liye.
Main jo aapko convey karna chahta hoon, woh sirf shabdon mein samaa nahi sakta hai.
Har baar aap mera pasand ki geet is blog mein, shaamil karte hain, meri aankhein bhar aate hain, maloom nahin kyon ?
har baar un sab geeton ko sunta hoon, meri aankhen nam ho jaati hain…aage kuch nahin kehta hoon…likta hoon to aisa lagata hai to main aapka samay vyarth kar raha hoon.
Haan, bhool gaya, maine 2 geeton ke (MAAN JAYIYE aur MRIGTRISHNA)lyrics bhejen hain, main email sab teek taraha se jaanta nahin,(main utna techno savy bhi nahin hoon), woh 2 files aapko mil gaya na. Please, aapko mil gaya to ,mujhe bata deejiyega.
Woh 2 gaane bhi main is blog mein shaamil karna chahta hoon, woh 2 gaanon ko jo IZZAT milni chahiye thi, woh nahin mil raha hai, sirf is liye ke woh bahut naami abhinetaaon par filmaaye nahin gaye hain ya maloom nahin KYON? koi bhi record company un do geeton ko market mein release nahin kar rahi hain.
Woh 2 gaanon ka record bhi kahin bhi nahin milta.
Aap jab bhi samay ho to, un 2 gaanon ko zaroor shaamil kar lijiyega.
Main zyadatar hamesha aise hi gaanon ka farmaish bhejta hoon, jo aasaani se kahin bhi sunane nahin milte hain, jo gana har ek sangeet premi ke sunane ke kaabil ho. Meri tamanna yahi hai ke jo gaane itne achche hain, un geeton ko hum sab log sune.
Zyada ho gaya na! emotionally excited ho gaya hoon ,isi liye
aapka
prakash

Yes, I have received those two lyrics. They are wonderful songs and I will post them soon. In fact, the other song of “Mere Sajna” sung by Kishore Kumar is also a fantastic song. All these songs are special songs.
