Aayen to kaise aayen

I am aware of the movie called “Sangam” (1964), but I was not aware that another movie of the same name was produced exactly 10 years prior to “Sangam” (1964). This movie, i.e. “Sangam” (1954) had Kamini Kaushal, Shekhar, Shashikala, K. N. Singh, Murad, Rajrani, Chaman Puri, Ratan, Jeewan etc in it.
Here is a duet from this movie. It is sung by Geeta Dutt and Talat Mehmood. Only the audio of this song is available. From the cast, I guess that this song is picturised on Kamini Kaushal and Shekhar.
Hasrat Jaipuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Ram Ganguly. It is nice to find a Ram Ganguly composition. I thought that his career as a music director was over with “Aag” itself.
And I am proud to announce that this song is the 200th song of Geeta Dutt as a singer in this blog. She is reputed to have sung some 1200 songs in Hindi movies, and this blog now boasts of 1/6 th of all Geeta Dutt songs. That is a nice little collection of Geeta Dutt songs in one place for all of us to savour and enjoy.
