V Shantaram movies tended to have himself and his wife (Sandhya/Jayshree- as the case may be) in his movies. And he tended to have Vasant Desai as the music director of his movies.
Here is a lovely song from “Jhanak Jhanak Paayal Baaje” (1955) where the above mentioned ingredients are in place. This is a stage cum dance song, where Sandhya performs. The song is sung by Lata. Hasrat Jaipuri is the lyricist and Vasant Desai is the music director. And the result of all this heady concoction of quality ingredients is an unforgettable musical feast for the senses.
