“Anita”(1967) is a movie starring Manoj Kumar and Sadhana. it was the third part of a trilogy of mystery woman movie that Raj Khosla made. The other two being Wo Kaun Thi and Mera Saayaa. But much has changed by 1967 when this movie was released. But much had changed in all these years. Sadhana, who looked so pretty and stunning with a glowing face, had lost much of her facial glow and charm following some illness. This movie, to the best of my knowledge, was not as much of a success as the other two movies.
Here is a party song from this movie. This song is sung by Lata and it is lip synced by Sadhana, with I S Johar and others also visible.
Raja Mehdi Ali Khan is the lyricist. Music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal.
As can be noticed, the music director of this movie (Laxmikant Pyarelal)was different from the other two movies. The lyricist though remained the same. Sadly, Raja Mehdi Ali Khan passed away before this movie was released.

My Uncle introduced me to this song,It grew on me as the years passed by. I cherish this song more when I hear it than while watching it. It does have a haunting quality in it, which Madan Mohanji`s compositions normally have.

Nowadays sadhanaji don`t make public appearances, as she told in interviews she wants her fans to have her old image in tact in theri vision. Even if she makes public appearances in award functions, she doesn`t allow photographers to click her. But, Times of India published her photograph outside a legal court in mumbai(while she was attending a suit filed against her regarding one threat call or something regarding the subject of her flat)3 or 5 days ago.

Sorry to borrow ur words. but this song is one i ve never heard before. wonder how i missed it in my growing up years. and yes i agree with you. the Sadhana here doesn’t match the image of Sadhana in any of her movies prior to this. here she looks like she looked in “Geeta Mera Naam” — a patch of her old self. i don’t know if “Inteqam” was before or after this, she looked better in that.
