Jeewan ka sukh aaj Prabhu mohe

Typically our readers send us farmaishes of songs and we in this blog struggle to fulfil all these farmaishes. And it is my fond wish that a day will come when the shoe will be on the other foot and our readers will struggle to think of songs as farmaishes. 😀
Well, that stage has been reached at least as far as K L Saigal songs are concerned.
K L Saigal sang 110 Hindi movie songs. Out of them, 106 songs are available and remaining songs are lost. Out of the 106 available K L Saigal movie songs, we have already discussed 99 songs here and only 7 more songs are yet to be discussed. So I do not think it is possible to give too many farmaishes for K L Saigal movie songs any more 😀
The remaining seven songs are so rare that they are not available on YT. And moreover, one needs to have a list of K L Saigal songs and compare them with the K L Saigal songs already posted to nail down the remaining songs. I do not expect majority of our readers to spend so much time for that work. That is the work of Sudhir ji and me 😀
Looking for not yet posted K L Saigal was much like looking for a needle in a haystack, because every song appeared to be already discussed. Finally I have managaed to find a K l Saigal movie song that is not yet posted.
This song is from “Dhoop Chhaaon” (1935). Pt Sudarshan is the lyricist and R C Boral is the music director. It is ahappy joie de vivre category of song.
Here is this song, which happens to be the 100th K L Saigal movie song in this blog. Only six more movie songs of K L Saigal remain to be posted, and they too will get posted with time.
We still have some 20 odd K L Saigal non film songs yet to be posted, and I am sure they too will take their place in the blog in a few week’s time.
I take this opportunity to thank our valuable readers who have always encouraged us in such endeavours. And my special thanks go to Sudhir ji, whose writeups in this blog in general and his articles of K L Saigal songs in particular have opened up a whole new dimension in being able to understand and appreciate the genius of K L Saigal. I hope that with time, these articles will serve as a valuable reference points for the study and appreciation of the songs of K L Saigal.

The inputs and insights by Arun Deshmukh are indeed valuable. He adds to the intrinsic significance of this blog. I do not know about others but I do read this blog mainly for the responses in general and Arun Deshmukh, Sadanand Kamat, Sudhir Kumar and Raja in particular. It adds to your knowledge and commitment to film songs, a much neglected genre of mass media.

I search for a new one but could not find, instead I find the below link sung by Pahadi Sanyal ji (as mentioned on YT), so please check if this song is in multiple version (also mentioned in the comments there)

CONGRATULATIONS on achieving a century of Saigal songs.
Just a few months back,you were not too sure about completing a 100 landmark,but your perseverence and strong will has helped you achieve this.
Many people may not realise the value of this feat,but to get the difficult and rare songs of old films is indeed a tough task.And all this is being done only to ensure that the lovers of old music get the opportunity to enjoy this priceless collection.
I am sure that this must be the only blog in entire world of Internet where so many Saigal songs can be found at one place ! And to boot,with full lyrics,commentaries and information about the movies,singers,incidents and details of less known lyricists too !
We must be grateful to you and Sudhir ji for making this treasure available to us.
