“Pehle Aap” (1944) is a movie produced by A R Kardar. This movie had Wasti, Shamim, Jeewan, Anwar Hussain etc in it.
Here is a lovely song from this movie. This song is sung by Zohrabai Ambalewaali. Nazim Panipati is the lyricist according to the comment of the YT uploader, though I have read elsewhere that the lyricist in D N Madhok. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this matter.
PS-As informed by Mr Arunkumar Deshmukh, the lyricist for all songs of this movie was D N Madhok. So the information provided by the YT uploader with this song is not correct.
Naushad is the music director.
Song-Chale gaye chale gaye dil mein aag lagaane waale chale gaye (Pehle Aap) (1944) Singer-Zohrabai Ambalewaali, Lyrics-D N Madhok, MD-Naushad
Lyrics
chale gaye chale gaye
dil mein aag lagaane waale
chale gaye
haay
chale gaye chale gaye
dil mein aag lagaane waale
chale gaye
tum sang nain milaa ke
haay main haar gayi
tori judaayi sainyaan re
haay mujhe maar gayi
tum sang nain milaa ke
haay main haar gayi
tori judaayi sainyaan re
haay mujhe maar gayi
garaj-garaj birhan ko daraate hain
baadal kaale-kaale
garaj-garaj birhan ko daraate hain
baadal kaale-kaale
chale gaye
haay
chale gaye chale gaye
dil mein aag lagaane waale
chale gaye
mori qasam tohe
aa jaa more baalam
sah naa sakenge dukh
birhaa ke aur ham
mori qasam tohe
aa jaa more baalam
sah naa sakenge dukh
birhaa ke aur ham
sainyaan padoon main tore painyaan
balaiyaan loon
ab aa jaa tu jaane waale
sainyaan padoon main tore painyaan
balaiyaan loon
ab aa jaa tu jaane waale
chale gaye
haay
chale gaye chale gaye
dil mein aag lagaane waale
chale gaye
haay
chale gaye chale gaye
dil mein aag lagaane waale
chale gaye

Atul ji,
This song and all the other songs,in all 11 songs, were indeed written by D.N.Madhok,in PAHLE AAP(also titled PRESTIGE)-1944.
DNMadhok was very close to Kardar and was a fixture in all his movies. It was Madhok, who had taken Naushad to Kardar, initially, and then all 3 were together for a long time.I have written about it in one of my earlier comments,in details.

So it means that the youtube uploader of this song has incorrectly put the name of lyricist as Nazim Panipati. Thanks for this information. With this, D N Madhok inches closer towards his century mark in the blog.
