I had recently discussed a song from “Kaun Hamaara” (1947). This movie is an extremely obscure one and details about this movie are not available. For instance, we have no idea about the leading actress of this movie who sang the earlier posted song which was sung by Hamida Banu.
Here is another song from this movie. This too is sung by Hamida Banu. Bulo C Rani is the music director. In case of this song, lyricist is not known, but seeing that the other song from the movie, he could well be the lyricist of this song too.
In this song, I may have erred in the lyrics in a few places. Readers with keener ears are requested to point our the errors in the lyrics, if any.

KAUN HAMARA(1947),was one of the Ranjit movietone assembly-line production.In the 30s and 40s,Ranjit MT was having more than 300 employees on its monthly payroll.Most actors employed were 2nd and 3rd grade artists,who were made Hero/Heroine,depending on the requirement.Sardar Chandulal Shah had stopped directing movies since 1940 onwards(till he directed Raj Kapoor in Paapi in 1953).Most movies were made with mediocre contents and cast.
Kaun Hamara was such a movie.Roopa was the Heroine(Royal Mail-46,Birhan-48,Bahadur Kissan-38 etc) and Bipin Gupta was Hero.The other actors were Nihal,Dixit,Motibai,S.K.Hassan,Leela Shinde,Kesar Tipnis etc.The tame story was to emphasize the importance of understanding the real wellwishers,separated from fake friends and how one has to face adversities in course of learning this bitter truth
This film was released when India’s Independence was announced and in the turmoil of partition and other commotion,the film found its nemesis.

Thanks a lot for this rare to find information about this movie as well as about Ranjit Movietones wrking in 1940s.
