Aag (1967) is a production from the banner of Dimple Films, produced and directed by Naresh Kumar. The star cast of the film includes Feroze Khan, Mumtaz, Shyama, Achla Sachdev, Jeevan, Aruna Irani, Madan Puri, Sunder, Mohan Choti, Manohar Deepak, Tun Tun, Bipn Gupta, Indira Bansal, Randheer etc.
I have already posted one song of this film earlier. Here is the second song, a solo sung by Mahendra Kapoor – a song that I have heard long time back, and then it was not heard again for years. Searching for Usha Khanna’s music on the YouTube led me to this song – it is so good to hear this again after a long time. The lyrics are by Asad Bhopali and the music composition is by Usha Khanna. Only the audio of this song is available. I can hazard a guess – looking at the star lineup, this song is most likely picturized on Feroze Khan. And again, given the star lineup, I do not want to risk a guess as to whom this song is directed, given there are two names that could be possible, Mumtaz or Shyama. Mumtaz is more likely, but, well, I am not certain.
Another lovely and rapid paced song from Usha Khanna, that has been rendered with lots of energy and zest by Mahendra Kapoor. Enjoy.
