“Hamaari Beti” (1950) was a Shobhana Samarth Production movie. She had produced and directed this movie as a launching pad for her eldest daughter, viz Nutan.
The movie had Motilal, Shobhana Samarth,Shekhar, Nutan,Tanuja,Veera, Cuckoo, Randhir, Agha, Pramila, David Abraham, K. N. Singh etc in it.
I was under the impression that I had discussed a few songs from this movie in the past, but I was wrong. I was confusing this movie with another Nutan movie that was released a few years later.
The movie had some nice songs in it. Today (23rd november) is Geeta Dutt’s birthday anniversary. On this occasion, I have decided to discuss a few special Geeta Dutt songs. Here is a duet from “Hamaari Beti” (1950). This song is sung by Geeta Dutt and Mukesh. Randheer is the lyricist. Music is composed by Snehal Bhatkar.
This song is a rare song. And what a nice song to listen to !
