Din hain ye bahaar ke

When it comes to discussing songs on the occasion of Rafi’s birthday, one is spoilt for choice. One can discuss many songs and I have material for discussing several songs today. But then there is constraint of time and one is required to work as well. 😉
So I will only discuss a few more songs before I will run out of time for the day.
Here is a wonderful song from “Honeymoon” (1973). It is sung by Rafi and it is picturised on Anil Dhawan, Leena Chandawarkar, Suresh Chatwal and Nazima. Yogesh is the lyricist and music is composed by Usha Khanna.
Prakashchandra sent me the lyrics and other details of this song. It is only through these details that I became aware of the fact that “Honeymoon” (1973) is a Rajshree Productions movie. I was not aware that Usha Khanna had composed music in a Rajshree Productions movie. This can serve as a good trivia question for music lovers.

Song-Din hain ye bahaar ke (Honeymoon)(1973) Singer-Rafi, Lyrics-Yogesh, MD-Usha Khanna
Lyrics(Provided by Prakashchandra)
din hain ye bahaar ke
phool chhun le pyaar ke
o sathi o saathi ho o
o saathi o saathi ho o
din hain ye bahaar ke
phool chun le pyaar ke….
o saathi o saathi ho o
o saathi o saathi ho o
tere hanste hothhon se
bichhde tere geet kyun
barse saawan pyaar ka
tarse teri preet kyun
beet na jaaye kahin
pyaar ka saawan yoon hi
o saathi o saathi ho o o
o saathi o saathi ho o
shaayad kehtaa hai tujhe
sehmaa sehmaa dil tera
teri guzri zindagi
thhaame na aanchal tera
pyaar jo karte hain woh
yoon nahin darte hain woh
o saathi o saathi ho o
o saathi o saathi ho o
dulhan bankar zindagi
chalti tere saath hai
badhkar baanhein thaam le
rukne ki kyaa baat hai
aaj kyun hain dooriyaan
kyun hain ye majbooriyaan
o saathi o saathi ho o
o saathi o saathi ho o
hona thha jo woh ho gayaa
saathi ab na soch tu
kehkar man ke bhed ye
halkaa kar le bojh tu
ye khamoshi tod de
ye udaasi chhod de
o saathi o saathi ho o
o saathi o saathi ho o
din hain ye bahaar ke
phool chhun le pyaar ke
o saathi o saathi ho o
o saathi o saathi ho o

Prakashji,
Thanks for the song. Actually this song was in my “Song to send today” in list for the same reason, Rafi’s B’day. I am happy that you sent it. I really like this soft song. Like Atulji said, I was surprised to know that it’s a Rajshri Production and Usha Khanna has composed the music for RP.
