“Anjaana”(1969) was an Em Kay Productions movie. Em Kay, viz Mohan Kumar also directed the movie. Star cast of the movie included names like Rajendra Kumar, Babita, Pran, Nazima, Prem Chopra, Sunder, Nirupa Roy, Mohan Choti, Tuntun, Mehmood Junior etc.
I have discussed three songs from this movie in the past. Here is a song from the movie that belong to the “how come this song was not discussed earlier !” category 🙂
This song is a duet which is sung by Rafi and Suman Kalyanpur. It is picturised on Rajendra Kumar and Babita. Anand Bakshi is the lyricist and music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal.

Wow, listening to this song after ages. What a wonderful number. Suman Kalyanpur had such a beautiful voice, if only she was given more chances. I am surprised that this song has no comments so far. The song used to play all the time on radio. I do wish it was picturised better though. Rajendra Kumar just does not do justice to Rafi saab’s singing. Thanks Atul Ji.
