“King Kong” (1962) was a Santosh Productions movie. It was produced by Devi Sharma and directed by Babubhai Mistry. This B grade movie had Dara Singh and Kumkum in lead roles, with Parveen Choudhary, Leela Misra, Kamal Mehra, Uma Dutt, King Kong, Chandrashekhar etc also figuring in the movie.
Like all B grade movies, this movie too had A grade music in it. Here is a nice song from this movie. It is sung by Lata. Only the audio of this song is available, but it is obvious that the song must have been picturised on Kumkum and Dara Singh.
Majrooh Sultanpuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Chitragupta.
Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Prakashchandra.
PS-Video is available as pointed out by Prakashchandra. The song is picturised on Kumkum and Dara Singh as guessed.

jaata hai to jaa
o jaanewaale jaa

mere man se dhadkan se
tu jaa sake to jaanoo
jaata hai to jaa
chal to diya
tu kasam khaaye huye
mere bina lat uljhaaye huye
chal to diya
tu kasam khaaye huye
mere bina lat uljhaaye huye
ab man ki uljhan ko
suljha sake to jaanoo
jaata hai tho jaa
o jaanewaale jaa
mere man se dhadkan se
tu jaa sake to jaanoo
jaata hai to jaa
ghoom pade
sunke baina mere
mud hi gaye
mujhpe naina tere

Atul ji,
KING KONG-1962 is easily the best film of Dara Singh from the 60s.It also established him as a popular hero of the B and C grade films.
The story is of the set pattern,In fact most of the DS film stories are so similar in content-give or take few changes like names etc-that one wonders why this derth of stories for DS films. The simple reason is the audience of DS films never goes to his films for story or histrionic talents of the artists, but to see the fantastic muscle shows and bouts with variety of wrestlers.
In this film,a wicked prime Minister kills the king to usurp his throne. Before he kills them, the queen and her 2 sons escape and stay in a jungle incognito.
Jingu(Dara Singh) grows up to become a very powerful He Man.His brother Badal(Chandrasekhar)becomes a happy go lucky guy.Once DS saves Radhi(Kumkum) and her saheli Chhabili(sheila Kashmiri) from a strange Dinosaur like animal and kills it.Radhi starts loving Jingu and Chhabili loves Badal.
Meanwhile the king wants to send the existing ‘King kong’ title holder to the jungle to kill the animal, but learns about the heroics of Jingu and invites him, with family, to the capital to honour him. When Jingu reaches the Darbar, the king offers him to marry the Princess(Pravin Chaudhary).Jingu refuses.
The existing Kingkong challenges Jingu and there is a bout in which Jingu wins the title of new King kong. The king learns that he is the son of ex-king,so he captures Jingu and family.Jingu breaks the iron chains, destroys the palace and captures the evil King.
The king is punished.Jingu the King kong is crowned as new King and all are happy-especially Radhi,Badal-Chhabili and king’s mother for having taken the revenge.
