“Baadal” (1951) was a Verma Films Production. It was directed by Amiya Chakraborty and the starcast included names like Premnath, Madhubala, Purnima, Hiralal, Randhir, S. Nazir, Agha etc.
As many as five songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Most of them have been picturised on Premnath and Madhubala.
Here is another song from the movie. This song is sung by Lata and it is picturised on Purnima. Shailendra is the lyricist and music is composed by Shankar Jaikishan.

BADAL-1951 was a musical hit directed by Amiya Chakravarty.
Amiya Chakravarty,who was a Canteen Manager in Bombay Talkies,remained loyal and stayed back even when few others like Gyan Mukherjee,Ashok kumar,Vachha,s.mukherjee and others left en masse to form another studio.He always had a competetion with Gyam Mukherjee and it showed even when the two separated.when Badal was sucessful,Gyan Mukherjee mad Shamsher in 1953 based on the same story.later also they made Kathputali and sitaronse aagey on the same story taking the same heroine.their competetion ended with their death only.
BADAL was the Indian avatar of Robin Hood.Badal(Premnath) suffers at the hands of evil people employed by Jaising(Hiralal) the right hand of Jahagirdar Mahipal singh(Randhir).As a revenge he becomes a Baghi.He loots the rich and helps the poor.Once he saves Ratna(Madhubala) from the hands of his own people.They fall in love.
Jaising is also after Ratna.He arrests Badal,but Ratna with help from friends helps him to escape.The king comes to know all this and wants to know personally ,so he changes himself into a businessman and starts mixing with people.He learns that his own men are doing evil work and that Badal has been wronged by them.
He calls Badal and punishes all the croocks.He makes Badal his Minister and all is well that ends well.
