“Daak Babu” (1954) was a Jubilee Pictures presentation. The movie was directed by Lekhraj Bhakri and the starcast of the movie had Talat Mehmood, Nadira, Kuldip Kaur, Yashodhara Katju, Radha Krishan etc.
Here is a duet from this movie. It is sung by Talat Mehmood and Mubarak Begam. Only the audio of this song is available. Talat Mehmood obviously sang for himself. It is not clear who was the leading lady of this movie who lip synced on this song. It could be either Nadira or Kuldip Kaur.
This movie had as many as three lyricists, but I am not sure who wrote this song. Music was composed by Dhaniram.
I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this song, vis a vis its lyricist, picturisation etc.
