“Aashiq” (1962) was a Reuben Dubey production movie. Bunny Reuben and Vijay Kishore Dubey were the producers of the movie. The movie was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherji. The movie had Raj Kapoor,Padmini, Nanda, Raj Mehra, Johnny Walkar, Mukri, Keshto Mukherjee, Abhi Bhattacharya, Leela Chitnis, Honey Irani, Nana Palsikar, Achala Sachdev, Madhumati etc in it.
This movie was full of memorable songs. I have discussed as many as six songs from the movie.
Here is a lesser known song from the movie. This song is a sad solo song which is sung by Lata. Only the audio of this song is available, but one can guess that the song was picturised on Padmini.
Hasrat Jaipuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Shankar Jaikishan.

This song is a favourite song of VividhBharthi Radio station. They broadcast this song once in a fortnight at 10`o clock famaish or chhaya geet radio programme.

I’m sorry I have to disagree with you. This song was hardly a ‘lesser known’ one. It was quite a popular song.
