Main ghee ka diyaa jalaaun re ghar aao

Though movie songs have been the staple diet for Indian music lovers over the decades, there used to be a small and loyal market for non film songs (NFS), also known as private songs. Singers like Jagmohan Sursagar, Talat Mehmood, C H Atma, Juthika Ray etc were the biggest names on the private music circles.
Here is an NFS which is sung by C H Atma, a K L Saigal clone. Music is composed by O P Nayyar , who was a big fan of C H Atma and who in fact used C H Atma’s voice as the main playback voice in his debut movie as a music director. O P Nayyar composed music for several NFS sung by C H Atma.
I am not sure about the lyricist of this song and also about the date of release of this song. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on these matters.

Lyricist: Saroj Mohini Nayyar (Mrs. OPN)…. Other song by Atma/Saroj/OPN and NFS “Paapi Nahin Gaa..” The famous one by Saroj Mohini Nayyar…”Preetam aan milo” also NFS.

I used to love this song so much. This song was not easily found on compilation tapes and I used to wait to listen to it on radio.
