“Ladka Ladki”(1966) was a Bright Films Production. It was directed by Som Haksar. This movie had Kishore Kumar, Mumtaz, Sujit Kumar, Laxmi Chhaya, I.S.Johar, Bhagwan, Raj Mehra, Tuntun, Randhir, Leela Misra,Ravikant, Johnny Whisky, Kesri, Krishna Duggal, Gulshan Banwra, Jagadish Bhalla, Aasi, Jerry, Abubakar, Nazir Kashmiri, ShamLaal, DeenDayal etc in it.
I have discussed two songs of different moods and genre from this movie in the past. Here is the third song of ye another different mood and genre.
This song is a roamntic duet which is sung by Mahendra Kapoor and Asha Bhonsle. This song is picturised on Sujit Kumar and Laxmi Chhaya. Yes, laxmi Chhaaya had a substantial role in this movie where she got to lip sync quite a few songs in this movie, in addition to showing her acting skill.
Rajinder Krishan is the lyricist. Music is composed by Madan Mohan.

I noticed the name of Gulshan Bawra among the cast of this film and noticed the name of lyricist, Rajendra Krishan ! actually Gulshan came in the industry to become an actor, like soooooo many others but found his roti in other departmaent (he was among the lucky ones, maaaaaany others just faded away!) Gulshan became popular as lyric writer and his evergreen Mere desh ki dharti sona ugle, ugle heere moti… is his pehchan which is sure to keep his name alive for ever.
Laxmi Chayya will never be forgotten for her two dances in MERA GOAN MERA DESH, Maar diya jaye and Meri attariya.
Sujit Kumar did some hero roles but then setteled for hero ka best friend roles in which he would always be remembered, ARADHANA is an example!
