“Pyaar Ka Bandhan” (1963) was an N S Films Production. It was produced and directed by Naresh Saigal. The movie had Raaj Kumar, Nishi, Kumari Naaz, Dhumal, Indira Bansal, Helen, Johnny Walker, Mahendra, Jagdish Raj, Raju, Radheshyam, Sudesh Kumar, C. S. Aasie, Hari Mehta, Munshi Munakka, Pratima Devi, Kewal Kumar etc in it.
I have discussed three songs from this movie in the past. It appears that the music director Ravi had used only two playback singers, namely Rafi and Asha Bhonsle for all duet songs in the movie no matter who the actors in the picturisation were. I had recently discussed one song from this movie where Raj Kumar and Helen had lip synced in the voices of Rafi and Asha Bhonsle respectively. Here is another Rafi Asha Bhonsle duet and the onscreen duolip syncing on this are entirely different. It is Sudesh Kumar and Naaz this time !
I am pretty sure that I have identified Naaz correctly. It is the male actor where my identification could well be suspect. I request our knowledgeable readers to help identify the actor romancing Naaz in this piucturisation.
This romantic duet is an extremely lively and energetic song. And I am happy to see Naaz figuring in a happy frame of mind, at least for the duration of the song. 🙂

NO ! The male actor is indeed Sudesh Kumar whom you saw in Khawja Ahmed Abaas’ film SHEHAR AUR SAPNA.
Baby Naaz first starred in BOOT POLISH. Then she became Kumari Naaz but audience did not accept her in any role other than sister, bhabhi etc. Daisy and Honey did not get even that much acceptance when they became adult. Daisy s now happily married to screenply writer K.K. Shukla and Honey is ex-wife of Javed Akhtar and a very good screenplay writer herself, remember LAMHE ?
By the way, the use of piano-acordian in this song is very Shankar-Jaikishany which has added pep and colour to this song, which is indeed a very good song!

You can check out “Saranga teri yaad mein” video. Thats Sudesh Kumar. Actor in the above song is NOT sudesh kumar. Its Kewal Kumar.

you can check sudesh kumar in Bedard zamana kyaa jaane(1959)(opposite Jabeen jaleel),chhoti bahen(1959)(opposite Nanda)Khandan(1965)
It is NOT SUDESH KUMAR OR SOODESH KUMAR(sometimes his name was spelt like that way)
He produced some movies like
Jaan hatheli pe(1987),Manmandir(1971),Gulam begum badshah(1973)

The actor in question IS definately KEWAL KUMAR.
I have seen this film as well as other films where Kewal has acted.He was doing the role of Raju,son of the rich employer of Kaalu(Raajkumar) and loves Sona (Naaz), in Pyar ka Bandhan.

The male actor is Kewal Kumar, who produced Mere Humdum Mere Dost (1968) and directed Mere Sajna (1975).
