“Amaanat” (1955) was a Bimal Roy Production. It was directed by Arvind Sen. The movie had Bharat Bhushan, Chand Usmani, Ashim Kumar, Pran, Nazir Hussain, Asha Mathur, Kanhaiyalal, Achla Sachdev, Asit Sen etc in it.
I have discussed as many as five songs from this movie and it turns out that only one more song from the movie was not covered. Seeing that Mr Arunkumar Deshmukh, wo provided me this information also helpfully provided the detail of the missing song made the job of filling up the gap easy. So here is the missing song from “Amaanat” (1955).
This song is a relatively rare song, seeing that only the audio of this song is available. The song is sung by Asha Bhonsle, Manna Dey and chorus and it is a song about a stream of water which flows continuously, creating its own melody and which has enough force in it to wear out rocks too with time.
Listening to the lyrics of the song, I guessed that the lyrics bore the hallmark of Shailendra. When I checked up, I found that the lyricist of the song is indeed Shailendra.
And the music bears the unmistakable hallmark of Salil Chaudhary.
I request our knowledgeable readers to help tell us how and on whom this song was picturised. I would dearly love to watch the picturisation of this joyous sounding song.

This song was filmed on Bharat bhushan and Chand Usmani.
AMANAT-1955 was a Bimal Roy prodn.,produced by B.Roy and directed by Arvind Sen.The story was by premen Mitra,s/play by Nabendu Ghosh and Dialogues by Paul Mahendra.
It was a very interesting story.Purushotham Lal (Nazir Hussain) is returning to India.On the ship,he meets a dying Indian,who hands over lot of money to him and requests him to contact his wife and hand it over.
When he lands in India,He searches,but can not find them.Years pass by.He uses that money to buy a mill and sends his son Naresh(Pran) to UK for studies.His daughter Meena(Chand Usmani) takes his care.When Naresh comes back,he is very arrogant and on the first day he has a fight with Pradeep,the Engineer,on some issue.Pradeep(Bharat Bhushan) is Puru.’s favourite and also the lover of his daughter Meena.there are constant complaints against Naresh.pradeeps mother is sick and he needs money,so he goes to Naresh.Instead of helping him Naresh traps him in a theft case and he goes to jail.meena looks after Pradeeps mother,but with a shock his mother(Achala Sachdev) dies.When pradeep comes out he wants a revenge on Naresh.
Due to Naresh’s bad behaviour,his father removes him from the mill.Naresh,with a helper,puts fire to the Mill.pradeep tries to save the Mill.In that melee,Naresh is burnt and the charge of murder comes on pradeep.Purushotham collects evidence to save Pradeep and he comes to know that Pradeep and his dead mother are the people he had searched for handing over the Amanat of money.
In the court purushothamlal gives statement in favour of Pradeep.Pradeep is released,but Purushotham gets an attack and while dying he hands over the AMANAT of Mill,Money and Meena to Pradeep and dies.
