“Aao Pyaar Karen” (1964) was a Filmalaya Production. It was produced by S Mukherji and directed by R K Nayyar. The movie had Joy Mukerji, Saira Banu, Shyam Chatterji, Rajendranath, Madhvi, Merlyn, Sanjay, Brijmohan, Manavendranath, Jayant M. Shah etc in it.
I have discussed as many as five songs from this movie in the past. Here is another song from the movie. The song is sung by Rafi and it is picturised on Joy Mukherji and Saira Bano. The song appears twice in the movie. The first part is the full fledged song and it shows Saira Bano walking and walking and walking throughout the song while Joy Mukherji is shown in the picturisation only in passing. So this song is for all purposes a background song. And it appears to me that the song is picturised on some foreign location which was a rarity for Hindi movies those days. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this matter.
The part II of the song is quite brief and it ends abruptly.
The song is written by Rajinder Krishan. Usha Khanna is the lyricist.

No matter what the fate of the movie was, the song is lovely, sung in a heartfelt way.

How come I could see our good old FIAT(First in all Tests!!!) plying on the road. Was it some city in Italy!!!

It was not our good old Fiat.
It was a Fiat 1200 GranLuce, which was never made in India. This car was known in some markets as the Fiat 1200 GrandeVue and in some other markets as the Fiat 1200 FullLight.

I had seen ‘Aao Pyaar Karen’ only because it was shot extensively in ‘phoren’! A lot of scenes of ‘Sangam’ too was shot abroad. But there ended the similarities. ‘Sangam’ was a runaway hit while ‘Aao Pyar Karen’ did average business at the box-office. The only memories I have of this movie are the wonderful songs set to music by Usha Khanna.
