“Adhikaar” (1954) was a Roop Kamal Chitra production movie. It was directed by Mohan Segal. The movie had Kishore Kumar, Usha Kiran, Radha Krishan, Yashodhara Katju, Shashi, Balam, Narbada Shanker, Kamal, Neeru etc in it.
The movie had a nice story and some delightful songs in it. I have discussed as many as four songs from this movie in the past.
Here is another song from the movie. This song is sung by Meena Kapoor. Neelkanth Tiwari is the lyricist. Music is composed by Avinash Vyas.
I am unable to identify the actress. Is it Usha Kiran or some one else ? I request our knowledgeable readers to help identify her. She should be Usha Kiran, seeing that Kishore Kumar watches her from behind.
If she is Usha Kiran then it means that she got to lip sync in more than one voice in this movie.
PS-It is Neeru, who plays the first wife of Kishore Kumar in the movie. I thank Mr Sadanand Kamath for this identification.

PS-I have read in myswar.com that this song has another version which is sung by Asha Bhonsle. When I checked up at youtube I found a link to this song mentioning the name of Asha Bhonsle, but that voice was also Meena Kapoor’s. I have been unable to locate this song is Asha Bhonsle’s voice, so it appears to me that the two versions of this song are sung by Meena Kapoor only. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw mre light on this matter.

BTW,
1st stanza, second line should be-

so it will be-

She is not Usha Kiron. But she could be Yashodhara Katju (niece of Jawaharlal Nehru) a Cambrige educated lady.

She is Niroo. She plays the first wife of Kishore Kumar in the film. She dies in a fire in her house. Kishore Kumar marries for the second time with Usha Kiron.
There is also a sad version of this song sung by Meena Kapoor as a background song.

I wasn’ sure…but I knew she was not Usha Kiron.
I’m not familiar with Neeru.
