“Jahaan Tum Wahaan Ham” (1968) was a movie that was started with Raj Kumar, Feroz Khan and Mumtaz in lead roles. But the movie was shelved due to financial difficulties. By that time a few songs of this movie had already been recorded, but their records were not released at that time.
The unreleased songs from this movie remained with Madan Mohan who was the music director of this movie. Long after his demise, several of Madan Mohan’s unreleased songs were released in an album in 2009 by Sanjeev Kohli, son of Madan Mohan.
That album gets its name “Tere Bagair” from a song of “Jahaan Tum Wahaam Ham”. This song was sung by Rafi. This song sounds so befitting on this occasion when Rafi left us this day 32 years ago.
Here is this wonderful song from “Jahaan Tum Wahaan Ham” which was released in 2009. It is not clear who has written this song. It could be either Rajinder Krishan or Raja Mehdi ali Khan. I request our knowledgeable readers to tell us about the lyricist of this song.
