Today (7 August) is the birth anniversary of P L Santoshi, who was a movie maker as well as a leading lyricist of 1940s and 1950s.
On this occasion, here is a song from “Chhote Babu” (1957) which is written by P L Santoshi. “Chhote Babu” (1957) was a “Movie Stars” production. This movie was directed by Harsukh Bhatt. The movie had Shekhar, Nimmi, Abhi Bhattacharya, Agha, Helen, Kanaiyalal, Leela Mishra etc in it. As many as three songs from this movie have been discussed in the past.
The song is sung by Manna Dey and Lata. Only the audio of this song is available and so it is diffivcult to guess how and on whom this song is picturised. From the audio, one can guess that thissong is picturised as a bhajan song. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on the picturisation of this song.
