“Mela” (1948) was a blockbuster movie of its time. It was a Wadia Films Production. It was produced by S U Sunny and Hila Wadia and directed by S U Sunny. The movie had Dilip Kumar, Nargis, Jeevan, Roopkamal, Amar, Rehman, Baby Zubaida, Nurjehan, Chandabai, Allaudin, Khalil, Abbas, Maqbul Jr., Gulam Mohmed Jr. etc in it.
As many as nine songs from “Mela” (1948) have been discussed in the past. Here is another song from the movie. This movie has two versions. The happy version is sung by Mukesh and Shamshad Begam and it is picturised on Dilip Kumar and Nargis. The sad version is sung by Mukesh and it is lip synced by Dilip Kumar when his father lying at the deathbed asks him to sing this song.
Shakeel Badayuni is the lyricist. Music is composed by Naushad.
Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Atif M.

is duniya ko chhod ke pyaare
jhoothe bandhan tod ke saare

More or less the same tune as https://atulsongaday.me/2013/09/21/dekhoon-kab-tak-baat/ from MERA LADKA (1938).

Atul ji,
I think the word is ‘duwa ra’
and Not dware.

Yes, it sounds like Duwaar, but it means the same thing as dwaar.
