“Shyaamla”(1979), despite being a recent movie by the standards of this blog, is one of the most obscure movie of all time. I was not aware about the existence of this movie till a few hours ago.
This movie was directed by Joginder Shaili. The movie had Reeta Bhaduri, Jasveer Sumal, Gauri Kamat, Jalal Agha, Birbal, Savita Bajaj, Dinesh Takur, Raj Rishi, Preetam Balle, Bharat Kapoor, Dharamveer, Bhudo Advani, Brahma Bhardwaj, Krishna Bhardwaj, Kamaldeep, Maruti, Bhagawan etc in it.
The songs of this movie are equally obscure.
Here is a song from this movie. This song is a duet which is sung by Mukesh and Dilraj Kaur. Jaan Nisaar Akhtar is the lyricist. Music is composed by Kanu Roy.
Mukesh (22 july 1923- 27 august 1976) expired this day 36 years ago. As can be noticed, this movie and its songs were released three years after his death. Only the audio of this song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this movie as well as on the picturisation of this song.

Arunkumarji has mentioned that Kanu Roy was the brother of Geeta Dutt/roy ; which is contradicts from other sources; Late Mukul Road-M.D was the brother the brother of Geeta but not sure about Kanu Roy. Will you please clarify the same

SHYAMLA-1979 was such a flop film that it was withdrawn from the market soon,renovated with some changes in story and re-released as a new film “WOH PHIR NAHI AAYEE”, in 1981, with a result that woh luck phir bhi nahi aaya and the movie flopped again,but this time very easily !
This film had Kanu Roy(ex actor and brother of Geeta Roy/Dutt) who took help from 4 assistants-Mahesh,Kishore,Ashish and Babloo to compose only 2 songs in the film.There were only these 2 songs in the film.
