“Ek Saal” (1957) was a Goel Cine Corporation movie. It was produced and directed by Devendra Goel. The movie had Ashok Kumar, Madhubala, Mehmood, Minoo Mumtaz, Johnny Walker, Kuldip Kaur, Madan Puri, Pratima Devi, Sheila Vaz etc in it.
As many as six seven songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the seventh eighth song from the movie.
This song is a birthday song. Picturisation of the song shows that several guests have assembled to celebrate the birthday of Madhubala. Sheila Vaz and others are presenting this song on the occasion. The picturisation also shows father of Madhubala in a state of shock, because he has heard from the doctor that Madhubala (unknowing to her) is suffering from an incurable disease. I hope I have judged the situation correctly from the picturisation of the song. I request our knowledgeable readers to tell us about the picturisation of this song.
The song is sung by Asha Bhonsle (for Sheila Vaz) and chorus (for the other dancers). Prem Dhawan is the lyricist. Music is composed by Ravi.
