“Patanga” (1949) was an out and out musical blockbuster. It was a Varma Films Production. It was directed by H S Rawail. The movie had Shyam, Nigar Sultana, Cuckoo,Yakub, Gope, Purnima, Randhir, Mohana, Ramesh Sinha, Shyama, Raj Mehra etc in it.
As many as eight songs from this movie have already been discussed in the past and that included the all time classic Mere piya gaye rangoon wahan se kiya hai telephoon.
This ninth song is sung by Shamshad Begam and Rafi. It is picturised on Shyam and an extremely pretty looking Nigar Sultana. Rajinder Krishan is the lyricist. Music is composed by C Ramchandra.

I don’t know how many still missing, but the one I know missing is “Pyaar ke jahaan ki niraali sarkaar hai…” by Lata Mangeshkar & Shamshad Begum.
