“Ek Thhi Ladki” (1949) was a Shorey Films production movie. It was produced and directed by Roop K Shorey. The movie had Motilal, Meena Shorey, Majnu, Kuldip, Batra, Shamlal, Gogia Pasha, Pasha, I. S. Johar, Shakuntala, Agha Miraz etc in it.
As many as eight songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the ninth song from the movie.
This song is picturised as a lighthearted stage performance song where two girls playing a short husband and tall wife sing about the plight of such an odd couple.
The song is sung by Rafi (for the short girl) and Asha Bhonsle (for the tall girl). Most internet sites mention Lata as the singer. I request our knowledgeable readers to tell us who is the female singer in the song. The female voice sounds like Asha Bhonsle to me.
PS-As per HFGK, the female voice is that of Lata.

As per HFGK,the above song is by Lata and Rafi.

The female voice seems to be that of Lata Mangeshkar if I go by her pronunciations of words ‘badi’ and ‘mere ae ae’ in the song which to my mind is typical Lata Mangeshkar pronunciations of her early playback singing carrier.
