“Shabaab” (1954) was a musical extravaganza and some people in fact regard it as Naushad’s greatest music for a movie, which is high praise indeed.
The movie had fifteen songs in all. Fourteen of them have been discussed in the blog so far.
Here is the fifteenth and final song from the movie. This song is sung by Shamshad Begam and chorus. The picturisation (which is quite unclear) shows that the song is picturised on a group of extras and it is difficult to make out the actors. The lady lip syncing in Shamshad Begam should at least be identified for the sake of record. I request our knowledgeable readers to help identify the actors.
Shakeel Badayuni is the lyricist. Music is composed by Naushad, as mentioned earlier.
With this. “Shabaab” (1954) joins the list of movies that have all their songs covered in the blog.

I don’t want to go off the subject.
Katiya Karoon tera roon (कतिया करूं तेरा रूं) means I will spin your cotton. Basically katiya here means to spin cotton (सूत कातना)..
