Schooldays movie…..had attrections of world’s famouse monuments on the screen, was successful up to some extent.but diffrence of age between RAJKAPOOR and RAJSHRI was clearlly visiable.was main hurdle that time.Music was fine.I enjoy Chale jana zara thehro kisi ka dil nikalta hai,ye manzar dekhke jana .was good song, also Jaane bhi de sanam mujhe abhi jaane jaane jaane de,.by sharda is still enjoyable .

Mr. Mani Menon is right about RBI restrictions on Foreign exchange those days when each application for foreign travel needed a P-Form which allowed only US $ 8.00 (or its equivalent) to Indians travelling abroad. However, he seems to be a bit confused in recalling the debutante heroine. It was not Sadhna but Rajshri (daughter of Shri V.Shantaram & Jaishri) as correctly pointed out by Shri Paresh Dubey.
I think the producer & also director of the movie was Bakshi Jogendra Singh who was better known as Panchhi. He was younger brother of the veteran actor Om Prakash.

You are absolutely right, Mr Avadh Lal. Rajshri was indeed the heroine of ‘Around the World’. What I said was this movie was planned with Sadhana as the heroine. I distinctly remember the full page advertisement in ‘SCREEN’.

‘Around the World in 8 Dollars’ had a meaning to it! Those days our government would allow just eight American Dollars foreign exchange to every person going abroad! Also, this movie was launched with Sadhana as the heroine!
