Nindiya ki nagri se pariyaan

“Aurat” (1967) was a Gemini Combines production. It was directed by S S Vasan and S S Balan. The movie had Rajesh Khanna, Nazima, Padmini, Feroz Khan, Lalita Pawar, O. P. Ralhan, Kanhaiyalal, Achla Sachdev, Nana Palsikar, Pran, Leela Chitnis, David Abraham etc in it.
This movie has six songs in it. Five songs from the movie have already been discussed.
The sixth song, viz. “Nindiyaa ki nagri se” is a very elusive song. If one searches for this song on google or YT, one is led to some unrelated Pakistani movie songs. I managed to locate the audio of this song and found that it was a very brief song, only two minutes long. I have been unable to locate its video so far. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.
From the audio, it is clear that the song is a lullaby song where a small kid is being put to sleep by the mother (played by Padmini, if other songs of this movie are any indication). The song is written by Shakeel Badayuni. Music is composed by Ravi.
With this elusive sixth song from “Aurat” (1967), this movie now joins the list of movies that have all their songs discussed in the blog.
PS-Subsequently I managed to locate the video also, which shows Padmini putting one of her many kids to sleep while Pran playing her husband is eagerly waiting for her. 🙂
