“Begaana” (1963) was produced and directed by Sadashiv J Row Kavi for the banner of Sadashiv Chitra productions. The movie had Supriya Chaudhary, Sailesh Kumar, Dharmendra,Madhavi, Agha(Agha Baig),Manorama, Chandrima Badhuri, Badri Prasad, Rajen Hakser, Babloo, Tarun Bose, Madhuri etc in it.
Today (30 august 2013) is the 90th birth anniversary of Shailendra (30 august 1923- 14 december 1966). He had a career spanning just 17 years but his output in these 17 years is enough to make him a legend among lyricists.
Shalendra wrote 768 song in Hindi movies. As many as 536 of these songs have been discussed in the blog. So it is a matter of time when we in this blog will have discussed all the available songs written by Shailendra.
Here is a song from “Begaana” (1963). It is sung by Lata and it is picturised on Supriya Chaudhary and Sailesh Kumar. Sapan Jagmohan are the music director.

Very famous songs in those days but wasted on the wooden bloke Shailesh. Supriya was top notch actress in Bengal and wife to Uttam Kumar to no less but a failure in Hindi films

A friend above commented about the wooden faced sailesh kr. I must add that the beauty of the song is so much, in all aspects, that it completely overshadows his wood
