We have now entered the 10th year of the journey of Mukesh’s career. As discussed earlier, the career graph of Mukesh started to climb after 1945. Coming to the end of the decade, his popularity continued to be on the rise and continued with a busy stint year on year. The Mukesh Geet Kosh information records that he has rendered 37 songs in 1948, 30 songs in 1949 and 36 songs in 1950. In the year 1950, he sung his 36 songs for 16 films.
Exploring the un-posted songs of the film ‘Bebus’ from this year. This is a solo song that so gently expresses the feelings of love for the beloved. The lyrics are written by Jalaal Malihabaadi and the music is composed by SK Pal. I have commented before and I will say that again. Mukesh has this wonderful ability make even simple sounding songs really great. It is the depth of his being from where he brings out the soulful sound, and make every song very special.
‘Bebus’ is a social drama from the banner of Chitravani Limited, and is direct by Bhagwan Hajele. The main cast of actors includes Bharat Bhushan, Purnima, Chandrashekhar, Cuckoo, Aarti, Radhika, Wazir Mohammed Khan, Sultan, Suresh, Bhargav etc. There are 9 songs in this film. The credits for lyrics are shared between Jalaal Malihabaadi and Saaliq Lucknowi. The music direction is by Pt Ganpat Rao and SK Pal. As noted above, this song is from the pen of Jalaal Malihabaadi and the music is give by SK Pal.
