“Kahaani Kismat Ki” (1973) was produced and directed by Arjun Hingorani, who pioneered the use of movie titles beginning with the letter K. Unlike those who came in late (read Ekta Kapoor), he would have three word titles, and each word would begin with K. Apart from “Kahaani Kismat Ki”, his other titles read “”Kab Kyun aur Kahaan” (1970), “Khel Khilaadi Ka” (1977), “Kaattilon Ke Kaatil”(1981) and “Kaun Kare Kurbaani” (1991). Clearly the letter K was lucky for Arjun Hingorani.
Though Dharmendra’s name did not have the letter K , but Dharmendra was just as lucky for the film maker and so he would play the lead role in all these movies. Perhaps his pet words containing K words, viz. Kutte, Kameene, Khoon (pi jaaaunga) etc. made up for lack of the letter K in his name. 🙂
Here is the title song of “Kahaani Kismat Ki”(1973). This song is sung by Mukesh and chorus and this song figures in the movie at least three times, with somewhat different lyrics.

This Arjun Hingorani is related to actress Anita Raj`s Husband Sunil Hingorani
In fact Dharmendra starred in Arjun Hingorani`s first directorial vehicle “Dil bhi teraa hum bhi tere”(1960)
Except Diwali ki Raat(1956) & Saheli(1965-Pradeep Kumar,Kalpana starrer), I think Dharmendra starred in all Arjun Hingorani`s movies.Their production house name also starts with “K” i.e., Kapaleshwar Picturies

Arjun Hingorani has also authored a book ‘How To Be Happy And Realise Your Dream’.
he has his blog on wordpress ( http://arjunhingorani.wordpress.com/) , which so far have only one post which mentions him as ‘director-producer-actor and spiritual author’. Also, feedback/review from film personalities and other well known personalities on his book is given there.
