As I am searching for Mukesh songs, I am finding more songs by him that are not listed in the Geet Kosh and in Mukesh Geet Kosh as songs sung by Mukesh. I am also thankful to Harish ji Raghuvanshi, for his guidance and prompt responses with new and additional information on this subject.
Now take the film Pagle from 1950. This film contains three songs by Mukesh, but they are not listed in HFGK. As I checked the HFGK, I find that what is listed in the singer’’s column is the name of the actors who have performed the songs on the screen. In all likelihood, the booklet of the film contains the information printed such that the names of actors are listed against each song, instead of the signers. And hence, these songs were not included in the Mukesh Geet Kosh.
The film ‘Pagle’ is from the banner of Mercury Productions, Bombay and is directed by Pratima Dasgupta. The list of actors includes Begum Para,
Madhuri, Jagirdar, Agha Jaan, Pratima Devi, Sherry, David, Mubarak, Kukkoo, Krishna Kumar and Juliet. Music is by VG Bhatkar, better known as Snehal Bhatkar. The nine songs of this film are written by three poets – Kaabil Amritsari, Anjum Rehmani, and Behzaad Lakhnavi. This song is written by Kaabil Amritsari.
Three songs of this film are already posted here, including one of the Mukesh songs. So this is the second Mukesh song from this film to make it on the blog here. This is a duet with Zohrabai Ambaalewaali. As per the available information, this song is performed on screen by Kukkoo and Krishna Kumar.
A fun song, written in a mix of Hindi and Punjabi. The lady love is telling her lover that she is very restless when he is not around, and the gentleman is making all the sweet promises to the lady. A simple fun song it is.

The begul “The Voice of Mukesh #52” is missing for the post and the rare gem.
One glance at the website hindigeetmala for the film confirms all doubts. All songs have their singer’s name replaced by actors.

Thanks for pointing out the omission. The number however is #53. As I went back and checked, one more number in between is incorrect. I have sent details to Atul ji for correction.
